A Grounded Practice for Self‑Regulation, Insight, and Care

Self‑Spotting is a gentle yet powerful practice that blends Brainspotting principles with mindfulness meditation. Designed for both clinicians and individuals, Self-Spotting offers a structured way to listen to the body, regulate the nervous system, and cultivate clarity, without forcing change.

Whether you are looking to deepen your meditation practice, manage stress more effectively, or develop greater self‑awareness, Self‑Spotting provides a practical, embodied approach you can return to again and again.

Self-Spotting Class Curriculum

Self‑Spotting is a self‑led, body‑based mindfulness practice taught in a group format.  You will learn to do on your own, or with a partner and experience Self-Spotting in a group setting.  It supports nervous system regulation by helping you notice where your attention naturally settles, through the eyes, breath, and bodily sensations, while staying present and resourced.

Rather than fixing or overriding discomfort, Self‑Spotting invites curiosity, compassion, and attuned awareness, allowing insights and shifts to emerge organically.

During the Self‑Spotting Workshop, you will:

  • Learn foundational concepts of self‑regulation

  • Be introduced to Brainspotting and Self‑Spotting principles

  • Experience a guided Self‑Spotting demonstration

  • Learn how to witness another’s process with presence and respect

  • Receive clear directions for continuing Self‑Spotting on your own

  • Take home handouts and resources to support ongoing practice

Therapist, speaker, and trainer in the mind/body field for over three decades, Cynthia Schwartzberg, LCSW brings a wealth of training and experience to her current private practice in Integrative Therapy called Cynthasis. Ms. Schwartzberg obtained her Masters in Social Work from New York University and her Bachelors in Psychology from American University.

With a remarkably adaptive approach, Cynthia is renowned for infusing her sessions with innovative setups, transforming each encounter into a uniquely valuable learning journey for her participants.
