Welcome to the Self-Spotting Workshop, based on the Brainspotting process called focused mindfulness. It is ideal for those wanting to expand their meditation practice or try focused mindfulness. Self-Spotting is ideal for anyone seeking peace and balance during challenging times.
Self‑Spotting is a gentle yet powerful practice that blends Brainspotting principles with mindfulness meditation. Designed for both clinicians and individuals, Self-Spotting offers a structured way to listen to the body, regulate the nervous system, and cultivate clarity, without forcing change.
Whether you are looking to deepen your meditation practice, manage stress more effectively, or develop greater self‑awareness, Self‑Spotting provides a practical, embodied approach you can return to again and again.
Self‑Spotting is a self‑led, body‑based mindfulness practice taught in a group format. You will learn to do on your own, or with a partner and experience Self-Spotting in a group setting. It supports nervous system regulation by helping you notice where your attention naturally settles, through the eyes, breath, and bodily sensations, while staying present and resourced.
Rather than fixing or overriding discomfort, Self‑Spotting invites curiosity, compassion, and attuned awareness, allowing insights and shifts to emerge organically.

Joining Cynthia’s classes was a life-changing experience. The depth of knowledge and support provided is unparalleled.
Although I had a lot of therapy before Brainspotting, it was the Brainspotting that helped me make the shift to release past images and negative feelings.
Brainspotting helped me develop a healthier relationship with my body and to deepen my relationship with my partner. I use the tools that I learned with my practitioner every day to stay connected to my body and my emotional reactions to stress. I am so grateful to have these tools, especially over the last year.
Self-Spotting has given me some freedom from my anxious moments. I know I have a tool, time and energy to reflect and connect with how my body is reflecting to the pain, worries, and fears both ahead of and behind me. Self-Spotting has helped me develop and harness a positive relationship with myself!
As a teacher, Cynthia’s presence is healing. She provides a variety of tools and unique perspectives that are a breath of fresh air. She instills confidence and infuses kindness and encouragement. I have found her guidance to be a balm for all who suffer from anxiety paralysis when learning and applying a new skill in our field.
